Date a Filipina
Date a Filipina

If you’ve ever wanted to date a Filipina lady before you have probably already asked yourself questions like “How do I approach her?” or “Is she the really conservative Filipina type?” This article will focus mainly on the “mildly conservative” Filipina woman and touch on the “Americanized” Filipinas.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Learn to Love Filipino Foods

CULTURE: Filipinas in general are conservative and very family oriented. It’s in their nature to want a man who will suck up to them and tell them how beautiful they are. Forget about being macho, take out your inner “lover boy” and compliment her in every way.
Ex: Don’t wait to call her or play hard to get. Filipina’s are the ones that like to play hard to get while the guys sing them songs, make them laugh, and make a fool of themselves because they’re in love.

  2. Step 2
    Know the Culture
    Know the Culture

KNOWLEDGE: Now before you try to jump in her pants (just an expression) and marry her off the bat, you need to gain valuable knowledge of the Filipino culture, but most importantly how conservative she is and how much you can get away with. Is she “really” conservative, or just kind of?
Ex: You won’t get away with telling a Filipina to, “keep your panties on”, but you will get away with, “I didn’t know Filipina girls had dirty minds!”

  3. Step 3
Be Nice, and drop the Macho-ism

CHANGE: If it doesn’t work the first time, it probably won’t work the second, third, or hundredth time. If it didn’t work the first time, it’s NOT going to work the second time.
Ex: If a Filipina turns down your request for date, change it up. Filipina’s usually like to hang in a group of friends, so make her friends, yours!

  4. Step 4
Be Confident and She Will See It
Be Confident and She Will See It

CONFIDENCE: It all has to start somewhere, and that place is your confidence level. You must have confidence in dating and in yourself if you want to double your chances with the Filipina girls - or any type of girl.
Ex: If you tell yourself your never going to get a date with that Filipina, then you probably wont! Get in the habit of faking it until you make it.

  5. Step 5
Meet Every Filipina, and be Friends
Meet Every Filipina, and be Friends

EXPERIENCE: Knowing is really only half of the battle, they say. Get ready for rejection, because for every rejection you are closer to winning. Treat the world as a play ground for practicing your new skills and do not be afraid to mess up and learn.
Ex: Talk to every Filipina, no matter who they are. You will gain confidence, knowledge, and that person might even know a Filipina.

  6. Step 6
    Go Out and Start Learning

MEETING PLACES:Go to places where Filipinas frequent; Seafood City, Jolly Bee, the mall, and make friends. You need to be where the gold is, and become a Filipino. Learn the language, or at least the basics like, “Mahal Kita” which means I love you, and, “opo” pronounced “oh-po” which means yes.

Tips & Warnings
  • Buy her flowers, tokens of friendship, Birthday cards, candy
  • Don't forget her friends too
  • Be sensitive, caring, and always available
  • Text her a lot if she texts back
  • Send her sweet messages
  • Filipinas are not like American women where you can say almost any joke and get away with it. Learn the culture first before making fun of her.
  • Actually, don't make fun of her unless you know she's okay with it. You might offend her and that's a big no-no.
