Step 1
One of the ways to cope with stress is improve your diet.
You can eat more fruits and vegetables this will increase your antioxidant in your body,which will help your immune system.Eat carbohydrates like whole grains and sweet potatoes. These slower acting carbohydrates will help you relax and no sugar build up then crash your system.Try and drink less coffee to much caffeine is not good and flush your system with water.
Get enough rest and sleep sometimes this is hard to do but most important.
Your body is designed to repair, recharge, and refresh while we sleep. If your not getting enough sleep, your body can't keep up with the damage stress can cause. The amount of sleep we get helps us with everyday stress situations. -
Step 2
Stop and take a deep breath what situation is causing you to be stressed, you can say a prayer,try and listen to music, or nothing at all think about how important it really is. Is it really that important don't make a mountain out of a mole hill.Don't over react to the situation it just adds to the stress.Remember deescalate not escalate the situation.
Think positively in terms of solutions, there is a old saying "Its not a problem its a opportunity". Evaluate each day by thinking of your progress and accomplishments instead of the stress you had that day. The day was probably better then you think. -

Exercise is good to deal and cope with stress.Exercise helps us feel better and can change the mood you are in. Exercise is always good to relieve tension and stress it makes you feel better and helps your body recover from a stressful situation.Keeping everyday life simple will reduce stress.Have friends and family help with stressful situations most people are more then willing to help especially if you need someone to talk to. One of the ways I cope with stress is venting to a friend or writing articles for eHow its fun and takes my mind off what is bothering me.

Take on stressful situations early in the day after a good nights sleep.This puts the source of the stress behind you for the day don't put it off we have the most energy early in the day so get it over with and move on.Other ways to cope with stress is take up a hobby.Something that is fun and you like to do will give you pleasure and relaxation.
Laughter is a great way to relieve stress this has been proven in many studies.Laughing at yourself is great you cannot believe how funny you can be.You are the best audience anyone can have laughing at yourself is great for relieving stress.

on 3/2/2009 A big thing to remember with stress is to remove yourself from the situation. Get up and walk away. Think about the situation from a different perspective. Another thing to try is just breathe. Take a few deep breaths. This will help you stay calm.
