How to Remove Old Wallpaper Quickly and Easily
Removing old wallpaper is a tedious task. Hours are invested in the old scraper and elbow grease method. Throw out the elbow grease, but hang onto the scraper. Pour 1/3 fabric softener, 1/3 vinegar and 1/3 water into spray bottle. Shake to combine all ingredients.

Spray a large area of the wallpaper with solution. Wait a minute until it has saturated the wallpaper.

When the old wallpaper is good and wet, begin scraping. Repeat steps as needed. Once the first patch comes up it's easy to peel off the majority of paper with the hands.

After all the old wallpaper has been removed, wash down the walls with TSP or other solution to remove old paste completely. Rinse off any residue of cleaner before wallpapering again or painting.

I think I'm just going to paint over it. This article is great and I bet it works...I just dont want to work it. I have 3 and a half rooms of wallpaper to remove! 5* -

Wish I had known this early last year! I used a steamer and a scrapper! Your article makes it seem so much easier!
