Things You'll Need:
- 1 pound (16 oz.) Spanish peanuts - organic.
- 1 teaspoon sea salt.
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of organic honey.
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of peanut or other vegetable oil.
- Food Processor
- Food spatula
- Recycled container
-
Step 1
Place the peanuts, salt, and honey into the bowl of the food processor.
Note that if your peanuts have skins, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. Lots of people believe this adds a great flavor. However, they can be removed. Get a pasta colander / strainer and place the peanuts inside. Swish the peanuts around and the skins should come loose. You can also rub them between your hands. If you wash the nuts, pat them dry. -
Step 2
Run the food processor for one minute. Scrape the sides to get the mixture back into the bottom of the bowl.
-
Step 3
Put the top of the processor back in place. Steadily add the oil and process until the mixture is smooth. This should take you another couple minutes.
-
Step 4
Yum, peanut butter is done. Now place any uneaten portion into an air tight container. We recommend using an 8 ounce mason jar. Store in the refrigerator. Will stay fresh for up to 2 months.
