Step 1
Trade your games that you already have. I would recommend going on craigslist or trading with someone in person, because well...its free. You could also find trading websites which charge you and sometimes make you also pay for shipping.
-
Step 2
Sell your games that you already have on ebay or craigslist. Again I recommend selling in person or with craigslist versus using ebay. Ebay has a bunch of fees and shipping might cost you more than you are able to set on ebay. However if you don't have any other option ebay is still a good choice.
-
Step 3
Borrow games from your friends. I'm sure you have a few friends who have borrowed a few games from you and have yet to return them, it wouldn't hurt returning the favor.
-
Step 4
Rent instead of buy. Get a gamefly or blockbuster game pass. I would recommend either one; the negative of getting gamefly is you have to wait for your games to come in the mail. The negative of blockbuster is they won't have as big of a selection. However either one is much better than buying. Both are less than 20 bucks a month, you could either buy one game at 60$ or enjoy unlimited rentals for 3 months.

on 2/8/2009 Thanks for the info on gamefly!
I signed up to gamefly and I love it. I've already played 3 games this month. I'm all about renting now. Not only can I rent every game out but I can so many more games and know I'm only spending a little every month. I didn't realize they also sell games cheaper than I've seen anywhere, and they let you keep the game if you want. And all the other cool features gamefly has.
You're right about blockbuster they don't have nearly as good a selection or stock, so I don't recommend them.
