Clean your natural hair and create a flat surface for the wig to sit on. Braid your hair down or apply a wig cap to flatten your hair.

Remove any dirt and oil from your forehead with alcohol.

Place the wig on your head to determine where you want your hairline and measure how much lace you need to trim. Refrain from cutting too much lace as well as cutting any hair on the wig. Position the wig and find the position that allows the hairline to look natural.

Fold the front of the wig back on your head and apply adhesive or tape on your forehead.

Place the front of the wig on the adhesive and press down firmly to hold it in place.

Apply adhesive around your ears and down to the nape of your neck Continue to bond the wig to your head. Add adhesive to the excess spots you may have missed. Be sure to press down on the lace around your head to make it smooth with no ripples.
