How to Use Kroger's Scan Right Guarantee

Most shoppers are unaware of Kroger's Scan Right Guarantee policy. It's simple, if any of your items purchased scan the wrong price, you get that item FREE.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Pad
• Pencil
• Remember prices
• Look at receipt

1. While shopping take out your notepad/pen and write down the original price, as well as the sale price of any 'reduced price' items you are purchasing. The marked down items are usually the ones that will scan incorrectly at the register.

2. 

   After paying for your groceries, move out of the line and park yourself with your basket over to the side of the store or just outside of the door and take the time to go over your receipt thoroughly. You will be out of the way of other shoppers and able to really go over your bill.

3. Check the prices carefully and compare it with the 'reduced prices' written on your notepad.
   
   If you notice a discrepancy in the price, go directly to the courtesy booth with the food items in question along with your receipt and you will be issued a refund...So, you walk away with the food item for free!

Tips & Warnings

• Sometimes the clerk at the courtesy booth will appear to know nothing about the policy.
• If the clerk is clueless, please ask for a manager.
• At most Kroger stores there is a banner hanging from the ceiling somewhere in the store that says "Scan Right Guarantee "... not sure if it's in all stores.
• By reading this, It may seem time consuming but it really only takes a couple minutes to look over your receipt. When you realize how much you can actually get for free you will see it's well worth taking a few minutes to scan over your receipt. I have gotten steaks, whole hams, even pork ribs FREE all because it scanned the wrong price!
