Step 1
We don't like to make just and ordinary burger however, we love to add lots of goodies inside and make the burger itself as flavorful and delicious as possible. There are so many different varieties you can add to your burger, by simply changing the bread like instead of an ordinary bun you can choose to use a pita, focaccia bread, English muffin, kaiser roll (my favorite). We like to prepare our burgers by allowing them to marinate in a combination of the following.
-
Step 2
Garlic salt
A squirt of lemon juice on each side, a little goes a long way
Drizzle of olive oil
A teriyaki marinade you buy in the store (one bottle)
You simply combine all these ingredients on your burger and place in the refrigerator covered. Allow the burgers to marinade in this mixture for at least an hour.
Then you can choose what you would like to add inside your burger like some of the following. -
Step 3
Onions grilled or raw
Tomatoes
Lettuce
Alfalfa sprouts
Different varieties of cheese
Sauteed mushrooms (so delicious)
Chillies
Roasted peppers -
Step 4
Then there are also the condiments you can choose from to place in your burger. Whatever you choose you can create your special burger to your taste perfectly. Besides the ever famous burger there are other great things to have a fourth of July barbecue. Having grilled corn as a side dish is simple yet delicious. Also potato salad is always a hit and a great American classic. Here is my recipe for the best potato salad.
-
Step 5
large potatoes (boiled and peeled) dices into small cubes
10 eggs (boiled and diced)
5 medium sized pickles diced
3 stocks of celery cut into small pieces
1 can of large black olives
2 cups mayonnaise (more or less to your liking) you can use lite mayonnaise if you like
1/4 cup regular yellow mustard
1 tablespoon kosher salt (you can use regular as well)
1 tablespoon sugar
2 scallions cut in small pieces -
Step 6
Combine all the ingredients and mix well. Garnish with paprika on the top. If you need a larger amount double or even triple up the recipe.
You also want to have a nice juicy watermelon to go with this great barbecue.
