This blonde brownie recipe is a twist on traditional chocolate brownie recipes. If you have never tried blonde brownies...you must! They are SO good! This is a very quick and easy recipe to make. Great for taking to pot lucks or any social gathering. They have a yummy buttery, caramel flavor. Enjoy!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  1. Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and the brown sugar with a blender.

  2. Step 2

    Add the eggs, one at a time, beat well after each addition. Then beat in the vanilla.

  3. Step 3

    In a seperate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Beating only until incorporated.

  4. Step 4

    Stir in the pecans and spread the brownie batter into a greased 13x9x2 baking pan.

  5. Step 5

    Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for a few minutes. Cut into bars and serve warm.

Tips & Warnings
  • These brownies are delicious served with vanilla ice cream and sweet maple sauce.
  • Great with a sprinkling of chocolate chips (before baking) on top or mixed into the batter too!
