It is least to say raccoons are pesky little creatures, very distroyful and can be a menace. They rummage through garbages and cut through thin wires with their teeth and make a awful mess. The wish is to keep all raccoons out of your yard. Does this Spark an idea?

To keep raccoons out of your yard the first thing to do is remove all garbage and bins out of their reach, secure the lids because for some reason they seem to be able to remove lids. Clean up all foods that maybe left on the ground so as not to encourage them in your yard.

Keep garage lock and any shed that is open. Raccoons are famous for finding warm spaces to make a nest to have their babies. It will not be easy getting rid of them once that happens. Keep compost beens secure because this is one place the enjoy scrounging through.
Secure all fowls and small animals such as rabbits etc. Raccoons love them as meals.
If you have a dog or cat keep them away from raccoons as they will do unlikely things to them. The best thing is to keep them out of your yard. -

Raccoons are just starting to be a problem in my area. They are not native and have only been around about 20 years or so here from escaped pets and people who released some to hunt. They have been killing young chickens and bird at a few friends homes.
