If you're looking for special macadamia nut cookies to enjoy on your day off, look no further. This White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie recipe will satisfy any sweet tooth. These 'Treasure Cookies' are good for year round cookie treats or for the occassional holiday celebration as well. Here's how to satisfy your cookie sweet tooth with White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies:

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Land-O-Lakes salted sweet cream butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 ten ounce bag of Nestle's white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Mauna Loa macadamia nuts
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  1. Step 1
    Preheat the oven.

    Before you start making the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies, preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

    Mix the dry ingredients.

    Get out two large bowls. In the first bowl mix the all purpose flour, baking soda and salt. These are the 'dry' ingredients for the macadamia nut cookies.

    In the second bowl, mix the vanilla, white sugar, firmly packed brown sugar, butter and eggs until creamy. These are the wet ingredients for the macadamia nut cookies. Be sure to beat the eggs before adding them to the mixture. I recommend using Land-O-Lakes unsalted sweet cream butter.

    Add the mixture together.

    Gradually add the dry mixture (first bowl) to the wet mixture (second bowl). Stir the cookie dough well to ensure all the macadamia nut cookies will have equal ingredients.

    Stir in the chocolate chips, nuts and coconut.

    Stir in the Nestle white chocolate chips, macadamia nuts and coconut to the cookie dough. (You can make the cookies without nuts and coconut if you prefer.)

    Drop the cookie dough by the spoonful on a cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes. The white chocolate macadamia nut cookies will be a light golden brown when they are done.

Tips & Warnings
  • The longer you bake the cookies the more crispy they will become. For softer cookies, bake for 8-10 minutes.
  • You may have to experiment with the bake time depending on how powerful or effective your oven is. Every oven is different.
  • Bake the cookies on an air bake pan for best results. This ensures even baking.
  • If you double or triple the recipe, be sure to have a sturdy wooden spoon to mix in the chocolate chips, nuts and coconut. I have lost many a wooden spoon to that step! Better yet, use an electric mixer on low speed. The dough will be quite thick at the end.
  • If you are the type of person who reheats cookies after they've been out for a while, be sure to keep an eye on these cookies in the microwave. My husband set one on fire once. I guess the sugar spontaneously combusted! Ha!
