Things You'll Need:
- You(duh)
- Your dog(double duh)
-
Step 1
Stand firm as your dog is running at you. I know it may me scary if you have a big dog, but hold your ground and be ready to hold your balance.
-
Step 2
As your dog is jumping up to put his/her paws on your shoulder, or lower area if your dog is smaller, raise your left or right knee to make contact with your dogs chest area. At first your dog may yelp. Trust me you haven't hurt him/her at all. Remember that you are just raising your knee, not pushing your knee or kicking.
-
Step 3
Keep repeating the raising knee motion until your dog doesn't jump anymore. It's that simple. Typically the dog get's the idea about the sixth time. Some are more stubborn but you must be even more stubborn if you want your dog to stop!!!
