Step 1
Write down everything you can recall as soon as possible about the UFO or extraterrestrial encounter. Note the time of day, location, details such as size and shape of the object, estimated speed the UFO was travelling, weather conditions and sounds or sensations experienced during the occurrence etc. Note if there are any other witnesses and try to get their information so you can verify each others accounts later if need be.
-
Step 2
Have pictures or video if at all possible. Although these are ideal, many times people are in such shock about the UFO or alien encounter that it rarely gets recorded. If you are lucky enough to capture the event on film make sure to safeguard any negatives and equipment used in case the evidence needs to be verified. If you have no recorded evidence of the UFO or extraterrestrial encounter, try to draw pictures of what you saw.
-
Step 3
Report it to the proper authorities. There are many places you can report a UFO or extraterrestrial encounter. You may want to notify your local law enforcement agency through the non-emergency phone number or file your report in person to make sure the information is recorded. Other places include NUFORC (National UFO Reporting Center), MUFON (Mutual UFO Network), UFO Casebook and UFORC (UFO Research Center).
-
Step 4
You may also want to report it on web sites such as those with online communities where you can get advice and information from others who have witnessed UFOs and had alien encounters.
