Bloody Mary Mix Recipe

If you are looking for a homemade Bloody Mary mix recipe, look no farther! When my father opened the Road’s End Restaurant on Lake Havasu, in the mid 1980’s, he was constantly looking to improve each recipe he used in the restaurant. He wanted a superb Bloody Mary Mix recipe, and so he began experimenting in the kitchen, and eventually came up with the following Bloody Mary Mix Recipe. It is delicious served virgin, or with vodka added. When you’re entertaining for brunch, prepare a batch ahead of time.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 Large can tomato juice (46 ounces)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tablespoon Tabasco sauce
  • ½ teaspoon bitters
  • ½ teaspoon celery salt
  • ½ teaspoon table salt
  1. Step 1

Combine all of the ingredients for the Bloody Mary mix recipe in a container. We used a large, clean, industrial sized Best Foods Mayonnaise container. This is a plastic container with a screw-on lid. Any large pitcher will work, yet it should have a lid. While storing, you don’t want to leave it uncovered.

  2. Step 2

Shake or stir the ingredients for the Bloody Mary mix recipe, until combined well.

  3. Step 3

Add ice to a cocktail glass, a shot of vodka, and fill the remainder of the glass with the Bloody Mary mix recipe. Sprinkle a bit of the celery salt on the top of the cocktail and garnish as recommended in “Tips”.

  4. Step 4

Store the unused portion of the Bloody Mary mix recipe in the refrigerator, in a sealed container.

Tips & Warnings
  • After you make your Bloody Mary Mix Recipe garnish each cocktail with a stalk of celery and stuffed green olive, or a pickled asparagus spear.

on 11/10/2009 I've been a big fan of Snap-E-Tom tomato juice cocktail for making bloody mary's for many years. It's become unavailble where I live. I found your recipe here and find it absolutely perfect. I've tweaked some of the ingredients slightly and am very pleased. 5 stars*
