This article will teach you how to create a Memory DVD using Windows Movie Maker.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • You will need a computer with Microsoft Windows Vista including Windows Movie Maker.
  • From the start menu, programs, Windows Movie Maker
  • Blank DVD (optional)
  1. Step 1

From the start menu of your PC, go to "programs" then "Windows Movie Maker" to launch the program you need.

  2. Step 2

From the file menu, choose "start new project".

  3. Step 3

From the Import Menu on the left of the screen, import digital pictures, mp3's or other music from media player or other music library in, and/or video. Digital photos and music must already be saved on your computer. Multiple images can be imported at once by holding ctrl while selecting.

  4. Step 4

Drag items down to the story board and adjust time to suit your style by manually entering time or by dragging the photo edge left or right. Generally for songs and digital pictures only, around 15 pictures works well per song.

  5. Step 5

Effects, transitions, titles or credits can be added through the edit option on the left of the screen.

  6. Step 6

When the show is complete choose "publish to" and choose source.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember to "save as" periodically in case you have to leave the project temporarily.
