Step 1
First thing first, never ever wake up thinking, "Oh man, I hate my job." Or, "I can't believe I have to go to this crummy job again." Or anything along those lines. When you wake up try to keep your mind off your work until you absolutely have to think about.
-
Step 2
smileWhen you get into work smile, smile a lot. Even if you're working part-time at a mortuary, smile. Smiling is healthy for you and makes you look better. It could also be advantages to your career if you work with customers.
-
Step 3
This is related to step #1-Never say, "I hate my job." Instead say, "I love my job." Try to trick yourself into thinking you really do like your job. Also try this with those co-workers you dislike. Try to look for the things you like about your work or co-workers and concentrate on them. Believe me when I say I know this can be hard, but give it a try. Say it aloud right now "I love my job." See? You already hate your job a little less now don't you?
-
Step 4
Leave your work at work. Going to a crummy job can leave you stressed and angry; but don't take that home with you. If that's near impossible, surround yourself with people that can and will listen to you while you gripe about work. Have a gripe fest with your family and friends if you must; you'll be surprised at how much better you feel after you're done.
-
Step 5
Lastly, never give up looking for your dream job. You know it's out there; just keep looking. Just think the moment you quit looking for your dream job it's going to appear and you're going to miss it.
