You can promote a business opportunity, blog, article, or product without bugging your friends, making phone calls, or buying leads.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • windows notepad
  • a tabbed browser
  • a computer with internet (duh)
  1. Step 1

Allow yourself at least an hour to get set up for the first time. Try to remember to use "right click" whenever possible to copy shortcuts and save links.

  2. Step 2

Search for a good tabbed browser. I recommend Google Chrome, but any good browser will do if you can add bookmarks and surf from tab to tab.

  3. Step 3

Look for some really well known traffic exchanges to start your campaigns in. Usually the best will be on traffichoopla.com. They are the authority of traffic exchanges.

  4. Step 4

Sign up for at least five, more if you can handle it. Then get your affiliate links from each one and paste them into your notepad. What you want to do is start by referring your traffic exchange affiliate links to each of the traffic exchanges. This way you'll be concentrating your efforts on getting referrals for the traffic exchanges first, then you can work on getting your business opportunity links in.

Tips & Warnings
  • Whenever possible, use splash or squeeze pages to promote your programs instead of full length affiliate pages. People who are surfing are only looking at the top portion of the page and aren't going to take the time to scroll down. So it's best to have the bulk of information above the fold and to have as little graphics as possible to make the pages load faster.
  • Ten or fifteen seconds is all the time you have to get your point across so make it good.
  • As with any online business, you need to give yourself enough time to build your referral base and start to earn an income. It's not going to happen overnight so be patient and do what you can every day.
  • Always make sure you have a good antivirus and antispyware system running and that you have a good popup blocker. If you see a popup or a page that breaks out of frames, make sure that you report it so the admin can remove it from the surf.
  • Never put the referral url from one traffic exchange in itself. You'll be wasting your credits and preaching to the choir since everyone there is already a member.
