Things You'll Need:
- Lots of fresh snow.
- A group of friends.
- Warm, water proof gloves.
-
Step 1
First off, to have a proper snowball fight, you need to have at least three to ten people. Too few people and it is lame; too many and it is too chaotic.
-
Step 2
There are several strategies to winning a snowball fight without losing friends from having accidentally taken out someone's eye. The first startegy is that to win, you need only "tag" a person with snow. So, the first strategy is making sure your snowball is tightly packed and that you throw hard enough to hit your target, but soft enough not to leave a bruise on your friend's body. You can be at a distance with this strategy.
-
Step 3
A second strategy is loose packed snow. Scoop up some lightly-packed snow in both hands and throw in the general direction of a person. Keep in mind that this strategy requires you to be close to the person.
-
Step 4
A third strategy is a temporary alliance in which you talk someone into attacking with you and cornering a person. Once you do this, make sure you do not aim a hard packed snowball at a close range and throw with all your might. It is best to just lightly throw the snow when you have ganged up on someone. On the other hand, if the person is cool with it, you could always throw some snow down their shirt.
-
Step 5
A fourth strategy is fun when someone is standing behind a fence thinking that it will provide them protection when in fact if you throw a snowball hard through a fence, the fence will turn your snowball into a spray and you will thoroughly "snow" your friend. This is a great strategy for just getting snow all over someone's face without blinding them or hurtung their eyes.
-
Step 6
In all of these attacks and variations thereof, you will invariably find yourself chasing or being chased. The key is to come up with some sort of scary battle cry that will make your opponent the one who is running. One of my friends, just waved his arms and made clown noises at me. That was enough to make me run.
-
Step 7
Keep moving! A moving target is harder to hit.
-
Step 8
Oh, and you can also do the old trick of pretending to throw at on person whilst keeping another in the corner of your eye and throwing at them instead.
