Things You'll Need:
- Computer
- Tax returns
-
Step 1
The first step to applying for a Pell Grant is to gather all of the information requested on the application. This includes social security number, tax records, drivers license, current bank statements, mortgage statements, and any other financial records you may have.
-
Step 2
Next, you will need to visit the website, www.fafsa.ed.gov Here is where you locate the FAFSA web worksheet. They have a help section on each page, and a calculator to help with any figures.
-
Step 3
Then you can submit the worksheet online! Everything is filed, and a confirmation is sent via email. You may make corrections, and check the status online. You have a PIN, which is very important. Don't delay they must be submitted by June 30, 2009 to be considered for the 2009-2009 school year. Remember, this grant is through the Federal government, and does NOT have to be repaid.
