Things You'll Need:
- About 12 Magnetic beads depending on style and size
- Stretchy cord, a heavy duty, but small enough to go through the beads
- Spacer beads
- Contrast beads
- Jewelry glue, or clear crafts glue
-
Step 1
Cut a piece of elastic cord long enough for a bracelet, with about 6 inches extra for tying off. Place all the beads you want to use into a beading tray or onto a cloth that will keep them in place. Make sure that there are enough to make an average 7 1/2 inch bracelet. On stretchy cord, it can be a few less, but remember you don't want any blank areas without beads. When you have the pattern layed out, place some scotch tape over the end of the cord about 1 inch from the end. Stringing will be done from the open end. Use a bead big enough to pull the tied knot into at the end of stringing. This will hide the knot and hold some glue for security.
-
Step 2
Alternate the magnetic beads with a spacer, and a contrast bead, another spacer onto the stretchy cord. Repeat this process until you have enough beads strung to fit your measured needs. Now you will start to do the final tying.
-
Step 3
Remove tape and hold both ends of the bracelet cord together and tie an overhand knot working the knot down to the beads. Tie a second time, and tighten. Pull the knot into the hole of one of the ending beads and put a small drop of glue onto the knot. Let it dry well and then cut the long ends off the bracelet cord.
