Gift Giving For The Sweetie

Your boyfriend is wonderful and deserves the best gift, especially if he happens to be your husband. But how do you know what to buy him? According to Gary Chapman there are 5 languages of love. Depending on your sweetheart's primary love language, you'll be surprised to find "I love you" isn't always gift wrapped.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

IF WORDS MEAN THE MOST. He needs to hear affirmations of your love ringing in his ears. Nothing else will do. Give him genuine compliments, acknowledgments or affirmations. They will mean more than any gift you could buy at a store.

  2. Step 2

IF TIME MEANS THE MOST. He needs your focused attention. Create a special event where the two of you will spend time together. Not watching "American Idol"! It's about quality time, with quality conversation. It's also good to do something you both enjoy doing together.

  3. Step 3

IF GIFTS MEAN THE MOST. This is where you get out the purse, right? Well, not really. The most treasured gift for this type of loved one can be a rock (not the diamond kind), if you imbue it with your love and good thoughts. Just remember that the object is a symbol of your love to him. That's what's important.

  4. Step 4

IF ACTS OF SERVICE MEAN THE MOST. Your loved one needs you to help out with a chore or two. Think of all the cash you'll save! But you need to do this happily, and with free will. Offer to help him out before he knows he needs it. He doesn't want a gift of Black and Decker, he wants to see you in action. It means more than words.

  5. Step 5

IF PHYSICAL TOUCH MEANS THE MOST. Your sweetie needs a hug more than a new car. So often we don't realize how important this is, but for this love language, touch means love. It fills your man's soul. So the best gift you can give your boyfriend is you.
