Things You'll Need:
- Adobe Photoshop Elements
-
Step 1
Open your image in Adobe Photoshop Elements.
-
Step 2
Click on "View" at the top of your screen. Choose "Grid" from the dropdown menu. Lines will appear over your image.
-
Step 3
Sometimes you need to adjust these gridlines. For example, if your picture is 100x100 pixels, you might want your grid to be every 10 pixels. However, if your picture is 10x8 inches, you might prefer your grid to be every 1 inch. Decide what size you want your grid to be. (If you make them fit evenly, you can perfectly place stuff into your picture.)
-
Step 4
Click on "Photoshop Elements" on the very left at the top of your screen. Choose "Preferences." Choose Guides, Grid, & Slices." A box will pop up allowing you to adjust your grid sizing.
-
Step 5
You can adjust the color of your gridlines here. Also, the size of your gridlines. You can choose inches or pixels. You can also choose subdivisions. Adjust this stuff to what you need.
