Writers Blocks Software

Writers Blocks is a software tool for writers. It is a modern version of index cards. If you are a writer that enjoys organizing thoughts on cards, or "blocks," then Writers Blocks software will come in very handy.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Writers Blocks software allows writers to make a new block for each paragraph or thought. Blocks are saved within a document, so you can make several blocks within a given subject. Writers can later search the blocks using a find command to locate blocks pertaining to a specific keyword or words.

  2. Step 2

Blocks can be linked, in a given order, color coded, transferred to an outline, or manuscript, spell checked, automatically formatted and otherwise manipulated within the software. But, the most interesting feature of Writers Blocks is that writers can paste a document that has already been written into the software and convert that document into "blocks." These small nuggets of writing can be referenced later for other articles.

  3. Step 3

You can get a free 15 day trial at the Writers Blocks website. There is a link to this website in the resource section below.
