Are you going to be single on Valentine’s Day? While many couples seem to enjoy this day to the fullest, others think of it as a big reminder that they’re single. Don’t spend Valentine’s Day being down because of the fact that you’re single, get out there and enjoy yourself! Follow this guideline in order to cope with the frustrations of being single on “The Love Holiday”, Valentine’s Day.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Patience
  • Yourself
  1. Step 1

Staying Active and Busy: If you stay busy on Valentine’s Day, its 100% guaranteed to past by in no time. Don’t sit and think about how you’re single on Valentine’s Day, instead treat this day like any other day, stay busy. Even if you don’t have to work on Valentine’s Day, go out and do something. No matter what you do, don’t stay in the house; it will only cause you to be depressed and lonely. In the process of staying busy, try to stay clear of all the places that are sure to have couples, seeing this will only remind you of what day it is.

  2. Step 2

Hang Out with a Friend: If you’re single on Valentine’s Day, it’s more than likely that one of your friend’s will be too. This may not be true in all situation, the chances of one of your friends being single too is 1 to 3. Find something that you and your friend/s can do together, it will help ease the loneliness on a holiday such as Valentine’s Day.

  3. Step 3

Treat Yourself don’t Cheat Yourself: If you don’t have anyone to flower you with gifts, (no pun intended), do it yourself! Yes, this would be an effective way to ease your single pain on Valentine’s Day. Spend the day treating yourself to any and everything that you wish to have. All of the things you wished someone else bought you buy them yourself.

  4. Step 4

Find a Date: Chances are that if you’re single on Valentine’s Day, there are many other people that are too. Leave out the house and just take a stroll around, whether you be driving or walking and see who you run into. No it’s not right to talk to strangers, however; you may come across a special someone that is willing to show you the attention you deserve.

  5. Step 5

Don’t Call Your Ex: If you’ve just recently got out of a relationship, leave it that way! In no way should you call your Ex on a holiday such as Valentine’s Day. If your Ex has moved on and has a Valentine’s Day date, it will only crush you back into the point of depression and loneliness. Take your Ex’s phone number out of your phone and remove all of their belongings from your eye sight.

on 6/30/2009 Treat it like passover. Lock your doors, don't go out, drink some wine to make you sleep and go to bed early. It'll be over before you know it.
