How to Make Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Baking is a healthier alternative to frying. Sweet potatoes are also healthier than regular potatoes. Combine baking and sweet potatoes to make these delicious sweet potato fries. It's easy!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb sweet potatoes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • oven
  • aluminum foil
  • knife
  • large ziploc bag
  • baking sheet or cookie tray
  • paper towels
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Step 2

    Line a baking sheet or cookie tray with aluminum foil.

  3. Step 3

    Peal sweet potatoes.

  4. Step 4

    Cut sweet potatoes into strips, about 1/2 inch thick.

  5. Step 5

    Put strips into a medium/ large ziploc (resealable plastic bag). Add the olive oil, salt, paprika and cinnamon to the bag.

  6. Step 6

    Seal the bag and shake until the sweet potato strips are fully covered.

  7. Step 7

    Spread the sweet potato strips in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet.

  8. Step 8

    cook 30 minutes turning every 10 minutes. They will get golden brown.

  9. Step 9

    Transfer to a paper towel when you remove from the oven.

  10. Step 10

    Serve them warm! Enjoy! These go great with a breakfast, a lunch panini or sandwich or with a main dish for dinner. It's easy to make for any meal or even a snack!
