Things You'll Need:

- Box, Bag, envelop or packet
- Addressee's postal address
- Full name of the addresee

Step 1
Buy something of good quality like a digital camera to make your friend happy in case it's for personal use. But if it's for business purposes, try to buy something which is marketable and attractive to the buyer.

Step 2
Pack it well in a good size packet, envelop or bag or box and this should be done according to its size and weight. But make sure that you tie it properly in order not to be stolen.

Write the full address and name of someone you love to send a package at the front part of the package, and make sure that you don't forget to include the city's name,country's name(e.g Kampala, Uganda) and its postal code(e.g 256) at the bottom of the box number.

Write your postal address(sender's mailing address) and the name at the back of the right hand side of the package for security purposes in case of any inconvenience.

Write the word "PAR AVION" at the back and front part of the package in case it's to be delivered or transported by air.

Look for a good and safe way to deliver/ send the package.Here you may choose to use post office, Fedex, Ems courier services, DHL or Overnight express. But it's good to choose a cheap service in order to save your money

Take the package to your selected service(e.g DHL)for delivery purposes and this should be done during working days because weekends are for resting.

Register the package and make sure that you pay the registration fee in order to claim your package in case there's a loss.

Get a reciept for your future reference, and finally email or call your friend to inform him or her about the package.This will help him or her to make proper arrangement of how to receive a package and pay the taxes.

on 2/5/2009 If you insure an item being sent internationally, it will often be taxed on the value of what you've stated in your insurance claim. Uninsured packages should have a receipt included if there is any question as to the value of the item for import tax purposes!
