How to Remove a Nose Ring Stud With a Half Circle
Nose piercings require continuous care and maintenance. Removing a nose stud with a half-circle end, also called a nose screw, is different than removing a bone stud or ring. It is important to remove it in a way that prevents infection. Know what you're doing so you can remove the stud safely and cleanly. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Wash your hands and then your nose with warm water. Massage the nostril gently to warm up the area around the nose piercing.
-
2
Drip saline solution onto the nose stud so the liquid soaks into the pierced area and makes it moist. This helps lubricate the piercing for removal and prevent infection.

3
With a clean finger, push the end of the stud from the inside of your nostril so the top end is sticking up more than usual.
-
4
Push out the stud from the inside. It will twist and come out at an angl--which may feel awkward as it slightly bends the straight pierced hole. Grip the top of the stud and gently pull the rest out of the hole.
-
5
Clean the area with a Q-tip dipped in saline solution. Use the solution to clean the nose stud you wish to replace the old one with, as well. Keep the area clean by rinsing it with saline solution several times a week.
