Things You'll Need:
- Saline solution
- Warm water
- Cotton swab
-
Step 1
Wash your hands and then nose with warm water and massage gently to warm up the area around the nose piercing.
-
Step 2
Drip saline solution onto the nose stud so that the area is moist and clean. This will help prevent infection since the inside of the piercing can get tiny scratches when a stud is taken in or out.
-
Step 3
Push the stud up slightly by pressing on it from the inside of the nostril with a clean finger.
-
Step 4
Grip the top of the stud and gently pull it out of the hole.
-
Step 5
Clean the area with saline solution using the cotton swab and clean the nose stud you wish to put in with the saline solution as well.
-
Step 6
Press the clean, new nose stud through the hole. Make sure you are pushing the stud through the hole straight and not at an angle. Keep the area clean by rinsing with saline solution several times a week.
