How to Make a Tom Collins Mojito
The venerable Tom Collins cocktail has been around for many years and is considered a classic by many bar aficionados. While the mojito is a cocktail that has a storied history in the Caribbean, it is a relative newcomer to the bar scene in the U.S. Combining these two distinctive ideas together to make a Tom Collins mojito creates a new taste that you can pull out to surprise your friends at your next get-together. Things You'll Need
- Gin
- Ice
- Granulated sugar
- Fresh lemon juice
- Mint leaves
- Club soda
- Glass tumblers
- Muddler
- Cocktail mixer

Muddle the mint. Place four or five sprigs of mint in each tumbler. Pour a tablespoon of granulated sugar on top of the mint. Using your muddler, crush the mint leaves using the sugar as your abrasive to break down the mint even further. Continue muddling for thirty to forty seconds for each tumbler, or until the mint is wilted and the aroma has filled the room. Fill each tumbler with ice to the top.

Mix the gin and lemon juice. In the cocktail mixer, combine one part lemon juice to two parts gin. Stir until combined.

Assemble the drink. Pour the gin and lemon mixture into each tumbler until they are all filled, leaving a little space at the top of each glass.

Mix and repour. Once every glass tumbler is filled, go back to each tumbler and throw the contents of each glass back into the cocktail mixer, one at a time. Stir, and repour into the tumbler. Repeat this until you have finished doing all of the tumblers. Top each glass with a splash of club soda and garnish with a lemon. Serve immediately.
