Create Business Cards for a Kitchen Cabinet Installer

If you are a kitchen cabinet installer attempting to build up your business, you need a professional business card. These little wallet-sized cards provide basic but helpful information about your business. Since you have limited space, you need to be concise yet thorough. You will also want a business card that is eye-catching and memorable, so customers will think of you whenever they need kitchen cabinets installed. You could pay out the nose for professionally made business cards. Why would you, though, when you can make first-rate ones yourself?

Instructions

    • 1

Open Microsoft Publisher and click "New" (from the "File" menu in Publisher 2003 or from the "Office Button" in Publisher 2007). Click on "Publications for Print" In the "New Publication" task pane. Click on "Business Cards" to open the business-card gallery. Choose a business card with a graphic and double-click to open that template.

    • 2

Right-click the graphic on the template and point to "Change Picture." If you have a picture of your own to use, choose a piece of clip art or a picture of your own from "File." Find the picture you want and click "Insert." To use clip art, type "Cabinet" in the "Search For" box and choose a picture to insert.

    • 3

Click on the area of the template that shows a sample business name. Type in the name of your cabinet-installation business. If you do not have a business name, type in your name. Make sure you enter "Kitchen Cabinet Installer" on the second line, so there will be no question about what service you provide.

    • 4

Click on the "Organization" text box on the template. If you are a licensed or insured cabinet installer, enter this information here. Including your business license number gives you more credibility. If you have a logo, insert it in place of the generic "Organization" template. If not, use clip art of a hammer or another tool you commonly use.

    • 5

Enter the other information as shown on the template, including your phone numbers and business address. If you have a catchy slogan, type that in as well.

    • 6

Save your business cards, then print them onto card stock. Cut them out using the border lines provided at each corner of the template. Keep them in your wallet or vehicle and pass them out to anyone who might need kitchen cabinets installed.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you do not have Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Word has several business-card templates you can choose from. The difference is that you have to change each card, whereas Publisher allows you to make the changes to one card and then updates the rest of the page.
