Step 1
Embellished wedding-card boxMeasure and mark a 20-by-30-by-3/16-inch piece of foam board, using a metal-edged ruler. Make your marks in pencil to show where you will cut the box pieces. You will need two 4-inch strips that are 20 inched long. Cut these into four 10-inch lengths (4 inches wide). Measure and cut two squares measuring 10 by 10-1/4 by 10 by 10-1/4 inches; these will be the bottom and the top of the box. You will have some foam board left over. This is a simple box design; you can revise the size as you desire.

Step 2
Assembling the foam board to create the boxUse the hot glue gun to attach the foam board pieces together, starting with the bottom square. Apply hot glue up the sides of the four walls and line them up just inside the box bottom. You may have to trim any excess foam board with scissors. When you have the bottom and sides assembled, attach the box cover (top) with a strip of decorative paper that is 10 inches long and 2 inches wide. (Use wrapping paper or paper from an expired wallpaper-sample book.) Use Modge Podge adhesive to attach the cover, laying 1 inch along the edge of the cover, aligned with the bottom of the box. Secure the other 1-inch strip to the side wall of the box so you can open and close the cover.

Step 3
Assorted wedding-themed papersChoose wedding-themed papers to line the inside and decorate the outside of the box, including the bottom, sides and cover. Mixing and matching an assortment of decorative papers makes for an interesting affect. Start with the bottom of the box. Flip the box upside down and use a small foam paintbrush to cover it with a coat of Modge Podge. Then lay a sheet of wedding paper over the bottom of the box and press down to secure and push out any air bubbles. Flip the box over and add more Modge Podge on the outside of the box walls; press the extra decorative paper up. Cut the corners with scissors for a clean finish. Add additional strips of decorative paper as needed to cover the walls of the box.

Step 4
The inside of the box is lined, too.Cover the top of the box as you did the bottom, then flip it over and line the inside of the box. Check for any air bubbles and push down with your fingers to remove them before the Modge Podge dries. Let dry. With a glue gun, add miniature pearls around the side of the box, and affix beads, crystals, fabric flowers and other wedding ornaments to the top of the box. Open the box to let it air out and dry.
