How to Write Artist's CV
For an artist, the CV should focus on artistic achievements, displaying how active he is in the art world and the progression he's made as an artist.
The purpose of the CV is to present yourself and your capabilities, as well as, market your talents. You are required to furnish a CV when applying for a job position or admission to an academic program. While most people could type up their CVs in a page, artists applying for positions in the field need to supplement their application with a portfolio.

Mention grants, fellowships and recognition you've attained from different foundations and arts companies. Receiving a grant from a prestigious institution such as the National Endowment for the Arts or being mentioned in an arts publication shows your capabilities as an artist.
