How to Know Which Career Is the Best for You
When choosing a new career or changing careers, there are a few things that can help a person know which career choice is best. A person must know what his passion is, what type of skills he has and what type of environment he wants to work in.
Though it may seem difficult at times, knowing which career is right can easily come after going through a few easy steps. Think about the person you are and want to be. Also think about what is most important. Is it happiness, money, security or power?

1
First, find your passion and reason to go to work. What were you created to do? What career would make you the most happy? Write down five careers that interest you.
-
2
Answer the following questions: Do you like to work outdoors or inside. Are you a people person or do you work better alone? What type of personality do you have? Are you creative, analytical or observant? Are you a natural born leader or person who is better at taking directions?

Once you have the answers to those questions, think about the type of education, skills, experience and knowledge that you currently have. Write all of them down.
-
4
Next, use the Internet, books, magazines or newspaper articles to research each career that you are thinking of. Check the qualifications such as education, experience and knowledge. Do you meet the qualifications? If there are some areas that you do not meet, perhaps you can take some classes or gain more experience.

Once all of the qualifications are met, choose the three careers that are at the top of the list, and apply at or visit different places of appropriate employment. Take notes at each and decide which is the most comfortable fit. If none appear to be the right one, take a look at the other two careers and give them a try, or start the process over again.
