How to Remove Hand Age Spots
Age spots may occur on any part of the body that has received repeated sun exposure. Also known as sun spots or freckles, age spots are more commonly seen on elderly individuals due to decades of sun exposure. Since the hands often see the sun more than any other areas of the body, they are often most susceptible to age spots and wrinkling. Thankfully, there are many treatments available to fade and remove hand age spots. With regular care, you can significantly improve the appearance of the age spots on your hands. 1
Apply sunscreen. In order to prevent your age spots from darkening, you must wear sunscreen on your hands daily. Sunscreen will also reduce the likelihood of new age spots forming on your hands. Make sure to use a sunscreen that guards against both UVA and UVB rays.
-
2
Wear UV-protective gloves. While sunscreen is essential, gloves that protect against UV rays will better protect against sun exposure. It may be inconvenient to wear these gloves all the time so simply try to wear them when your hands will be exposed to the sun for prolonged periods of time. Put them on prior to driving or gardening.

3
Rub fresh lemon juice onto your age spots. This natural treatment has been long-used to lighten age spots. The acidity in the lemon juice works to lighten areas of dark pigmentation.

4
Get chemical peels on your hands. Chemicals will be applied that essentially burn away the top layers of skin. Once your skin heals, it will appear more even in tone and less damaged so your age spots will be less noticeable. Your skin will be irritated and pink while it is healing from the treatment.

Use skin bleaching cream on the backs of your hands. You can find bleaching creams in most cosmetic and drug stores. Lighter strengths are available over-the-counter and you can obtain higher strengths with a doctor's prescription. The creams work to gradually lighten your age spots so they'll blend in with the surrounding skin.

6
Try laser therapy. During treatments, laser light will target the darker pigmentation of your age spots, effectively breaking them up. The laser light will also stimulate collagen production so your skin will appear more even-toned and younger. Generally, repeated laser treatment sessions are necessary to achieve desired results.
