How to Make Wedding Word Search Games

A wedding word search can be a novel addition to a bridal-shower invitation. You can include a puzzle inside the invitation or have it printed on the back. Compile a list of kitchen items the couple needs as they start their married life and hide these words within the game grid. A word-search puzzle can make for a fun game at the bridal shower: Use words like "bell," "ring," "flowers," "bride," "groom" and "I do." A wedding word search can also be printed out for a children's activity at your wedding reception.

Instructions

    • 1

Write a list of words that fit the wedding-shower or party theme.

    • 2

On a piece of graph paper, write all of the words from your list (in pencil). Use one upper case letter per square.
Start with the longest word. You can enter it on a diagonal or horizontal and backward for a challenge

    • 3

Double-check to make sure all of your words are spelled correctly on the graph paper. Check off each word on your list as you enter it on the paper.

    • 4

With a pen, write over each penciled letter with ink to darken it. Photocopy the graph paper. This will be your answer key.

    • 5

In pen, fill in the remaining empty squares on the graph paper, in uppercase letters. Write the words to be found in the puzzle in a column at the side of the word search. Add wedding-related stickers or line drawings to decorate the word-search paper.

    • 6

Make copies of the completed word search for your wedding party, shower or invitation.
