Instructions

    • 1

Draw a large, wide rectangle in the center of the wall with your pencil. The rectangle should be half the height of the wall. Add two long, thin rectangles to each side of the center rectangle. These will be the guidelines for the castle's towers and should be two-thirds the height of the wall.

    • 2

Add small rectangles on top of the tower guidelines. These rectangles should overlap the tower walls slightly. Draw a horizontal line across the top of the middle rectangle.

    • 3

Add a window to the top of each tower by drawing a triangular shape that is flat on the bottom but curved on the right and left sides. Draw the gate of the castle in the same manner in the center of the middle rectangle. Add a vertical line to the middle of the windows and gate.

    • 4

Draw horizontal lines all the way across each tower. Do the same for the middle section. Add small vertical lines, evenly spaced inside each horizontal line. This will mark where the castle bricks will go. Split the top rectangle of each tower into three sections. Draw vertical lines on the top section of the middle part of the castle.

    • 5

Paint the pencil lines with black paint using a small to mid-sized brush. Let the paint dry. Paint the castle bricks with the gray paint. Paint the windows and gate of the castle with brown paint. You may add the sky by painting the rest of the wall light blue. Create clouds by dabbing a sponge loaded with white paint across the sky.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always paint in a well-ventilated area. Allow the paint to dry before letting your child sleep in the room.
