How to Use Revolution to Kill Mites in Dogs
Revolution is a popular flea, tick and heartworm prevention product that is also approved for the treatment of ear mites in dogs. Ear mites are easily spread among all breeds of dogs and can lead to ear infections if not treated. Selamectin, the medicine in Revolution, is applied topically and enters the bloodstream to kill a variety of parasites and will prevent them from returning as long as it is used regularly.

Grasp your dog and place the applicator directly against the dog's skin on the back of his neck. If your dog has a lot of fur, part the fur so the medication is applied directly to the skin and not on top of the dog's coat.

4
Make sure all the medication has been emptied from the tube and wash your hands if any of the product got onto your skin.
-
5
Keep your dog dry for two hours after applying Revolution. Once two hours has passed, feel free to bathe your dog or let him go swimming.
-
6
Re-apply a new dose of Revolution every month to provide continuous protection against ear mites.
