How to Make Cube Paper Boxes

Paper boxes can have many uses.

Knowing how to fold paper boxes can be fun and practical. Not only can paper boxes be impromptu holders for anything you want to keep in one place -- paper clips, change, earrings and even small pieces for a DIY project -- but they can be inexpensive party favors as well.

Things You'll Need

• Two square pieces of paper

Instructions

Making the Box

1. 

   Fold the corners of one piece of paper so they meet at the center point.

2. 

   Fold the corners under, once again, so each point rests in the inside fold.

3. 

   Turn paper over and fold right and left edges lengthwise so they meet in the middle.

4. 

   Fold each corner up and under the top flap of paper.

5. 

   Gently pull the edges apart, creasing the corners to form the bottom of the cube.

6. 

   Make the top of the cube by repeating steps 1 through 5 with the second square of paper. However, when you reach Step 3, leave a little extra space between the two edges.

Tips & Warnings

• You can use any size or weight of paper you desire as long as the two pieces are the same size and they can be folded.
