How to Make a Bees Wax Candle
The traditional procedure of candle making is time-consuming with dipping the wick into hot wax, letting it cool and then dipping it again. This method is repeated until the candle is complete. On the other hand, beeswax candles are easy to make, and their appearance is interesting as well as attractive.

1
Purchase the beeswax candle supplies. If you can't locate beeswax sheets and wicks at your local craft store, there are plenty of online stores such as Candlewic that carry them. The sheets come in many different colors.

2
Divide the beeswax sheet in half and press to make a crease. Cut the sheet in half along the crease. Cut a piece of wick about 2 inches longer than the width of the beeswax sheet. For a pillar candle, use both halves of the sheet. Place the wick on top of the beeswax sheet at one end with 1 inch overhang on each side.

3
Roll the beeswax sheet over the wick, starting from the side next to you. Tuck the sheet under the wick and press with your fingers so it is sealed. Continue rolling, slowly and tightly. Keep your roll straight all the way to the end of the sheet.

4
Seal the edge of the beeswax candle. While holding the rolled beeswax sheet, lightly press, starting in the center of the candle. Your body heat will soften the wax, helping it to adhere to the underside of the wax. Work your fingers out to one side and then the other. By sealing the candle both around the wick and at the edge of the candle you have ensured that it will not come apart.

5
Cut the wick at one end of the candle so it is flush with the wax sheet. This is the bottom of the beeswax candle. At the top of the candle, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch.
