1
Wear a sailor's hat, like the one Gilligan wore on "Gilligan's Island." It's best if it's khaki or white-colored, but it can be just about any color or pattern. Later in life, he wore a white cowboy hat with the sides pointing upward.
-
2
Wear a solid colored polo shirt, or put on a loud, patterned button-down shirt.
-
-
3
Wear an over sized, loudly colored jacket. If possible, find one with patches of various colors sewn onto it, or you may choose to sew them on yourself.
-
4
Wear khaki shorts that only come down to about the middle of your thighs. If it is cold--or you prefer to wear pants--wear khakis.
-
5
Wear white, tan or beige Converse-style tennis shoes.
-
6
Add accessories. The most quintessential Hunter S. Thompson prop is a cigarette holder. Another good prop is a pair of mirrored Aviator sunglasses.
