1
Determine how many guests will be present at your child's party. If you're expecting 10 or fewer, use one 8-inch square pan and one 6-inch round pan. If you're expecting more than that, use two of each pan type.

Add the eggs and water to each cake mix according to the instructions and stir thoroughly. Spray your cake pans with cooking spray, pour in the mixture and bake the cakes in the oven for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when you poke it into the center of each cake. When the cakes are finished baking, turn the pans over, remove the cakes and place them on cooling racks. Use a knife to loosen the cake from the sides of each pan by running the blade along the inside edges. Wait at least 30 minutes to start decorating so your cakes have a chance to cool off.

Place one of the square cakes on a large plate and ice the sides and top. If you have a second square cake, put it directly on top of it using the icing to stick the two cakes together. Then, place the round cake in the absolute center of the square cake to form the tower of the castle. Frost the tops and sides. Again, if you have a second round cake, stick it to the first round cake with icing.

4
Take one cake cone and place it on each corner of the square cake. Fill it with icing or marshmallow cream and then stick an upside down waffle cone on top of it to form a turret. Cover the turrets with icing. Then use a toothpick to draw "bricks" or make them out of mini marshmallows.

5
Add embellishments such as graham cracker windows, a gumdrop fence or a moat made with blue jelly icing or dyed vanilla pudding. To give your cake some extra magic, cover it with edible glitter, which you can find at most chain craft stores, such as Michael's.

Tips & Warnings
If you need ideas for embellishments, look at gingerbread houses. You can use most of the same decorations on your castle cake. To keep your cake from toppling, you may want to insert a couple wooden skewers to prop it up. Just make sure to take them out before you serve dessert.
