How to Wash Lacrosse Gloves
Lacrosse gloves allow players to hold a lacrosse stick properly and do so without feeling any discomfort. Since lacrosse is an outdoor sport, however, your equipment can get very dirty after a game that is played in inclement weather. One must be careful when washing lacrosse gloves. Lacrosse gloves can be expensive. Having to purchase new ones because you washed them incorrectly would be very frustrating. Instead, wash them correctly the first time.

Begin by getting any dirt, mud and other hardened particles off of the lacrosse gloves. You can do this my pounding the gloves together or even hitting them with your lacrosse stick. Doing this first will make cleaning your lacrosse gloves a much easier task.

Fill your sink with warm (not hot) water.

Add roughly one-half cup of a mild detergent. You can add more if your lacrosse gloves are very dirty and less if you're simply trying to remove odors.

Soak your lacrosse gloves in the sink for 10 to 15 minutes.

Pull the lacrosse gloves out of the sink. Use your hands to wipe away any remaining dirt that you see.

Spray the lacrosse gloves to remove any excess soap. You may want to do this in the shower since there is more water pressure. This can be another way to remove any remaining dirt or mud from the gloves.

Hang the lacrosse gloves outside in the sun for 15 to 20 minutes. You can also place the gloves in front of a fan in order to dry them.

Tips & Warnings
Use fabric softener as an additional way to eliminate odors from your lacrosse gloves. Adding fabric softener to the mixture may also make your lacrosse gloves more flexible. A tablespoon of liquid fabric softener will be enough. Place newspaper or paper towels inside of your lacrosse gloves if they are still moist after hanging them outside or placing them in front of a fan. Doing so will gather up the excess moisture inside of the gloves.
