Instructions

    • 1

Put on disposable gloves. Tobacco resin is messy and will stick to your hands. Place the pipe in the bottom of a plastic container.

    • 2

Pour acetone over the tobacco pipe slowly. The acetone will begin dissolving the dirt and residue upon contact.

    • 3

Swish the tobacco bowl around in the container, washing the entire surface with the acetone. Make sure that you run the fluid through the inside of the pipe. Fill the pipe with the acetone and shake it to distribute the liquid evenly over the inner surfaces. This will ensure that the tobacco resin that builds up as you are smoking is completely removed.

    • 4

Remove the pipe from the acetone bath when you see that all the tobacco resin has been eliminated. Rinse it well with hot running water.

    • 5

Fold a washcloth or small towel and set the pipe on it. Allow it ample time to dry thoroughly before smoking with it again. The acetone will evaporate completely. You will notice a dramatic improvement the next time you smoke tobacco with this pipe.
