How to Fold Single Bed Sheets

You're finally living on your own, and have figured out how to change and wash the sheets on your twin bed. Opening the dryer, you are dismayed to find a twisted, tangled mound of cotton inside. Learn to fold your single bed sheets and place them in a linen closet or drawer until the next time you need them.

Instructions

1. Shake out the bottom fitted sheet so some of the wrinkles are gone.

2. Fold the sheet in half lengthwise, so it looks like a square with two lumpy corners on one end.

3. Tuck two fitted pockets inside each other on each lumpy corner, and smooth down the triangles you've made.

4. Double the sheet over twice, so it's about the size of a notebook. Set aside.

5. Fold the flat single bed sheet in two, aligning the corners.

6. Bring the four corners together, and smooth the sheet again.

7. Halve the sheet once more. It will now be the same size as the folded bottom single bed sheet.

Tips & Warnings

• Pillowcases can be folded in the same manner as the flat sheet.
