  1. Step 1

    Get a kitten or cat. Adoption
    is the best. Your local humane society or online at Yahoo or craigslist is a great place to start.

  2. Step 2

    When you bring your new friend home make sure they have all they need litter box, food, and toys

  3. Step 3

    Do not hold them, Do not try and coax them out from whatever piece of furniture they are under, Do not do anything.

  4. Step 4

    Wait, this can be hard because you just got this this new kitten and you want them to play and cuddle with you

  5. Step 5

    Ignore the kitten. Let them see you paying attention to something else maybe another animal.
    Your cat will come to you sooner when you don't force yourself on him
