- replacement screen

Step 1
Locate and purchase a replacement screen from any of the numerous companies that sell laptop screens for your make and model of laptop.
Make sure to check warranties and the types of screens being offered. Some sale factory replacements and some refurbished types. There is also a choice of types of screen finishes to choose from. -
Step 2
Once you receive the screen, check for damages and take action accordingly.

Step 3
Now that you have the laptop screen, find a nice flat empty table and start the disassembly. Remove the cover and or screws that conceal the lcd screen. Then take the screws that hold the lcd in place out. Be careful as the screen is still attached by two sets of wires. Unplug both wires carefully. To install the new screen, plug both sets of wires into the new screen. Re-install the screen into the mount. Replace the screen cover.
