Things You'll Need:
- fresh pepper
- cinnamon & sage
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/2 gallon water
- 1 cup kosher salt
- 1 cup apple cider
- airtight container
- 3 tbsp. brown sugar
- 3-5lb. pork tenderloin
-
Step 1
Mix 1/2 gallon water, 1 cup kosher salt, and 1/4 cup sugar in an airtight container. This will be your brine. You can use a tightly sealed Ziploc bag as your container.
-
Step 2
Generously poke a 3-5lb. pork tenderloin with a fork, and immerse it completely in the solution. Refrigerate for 12-48 hours.
-
Step 3
Wash the pork to remove surface salt, and pat it dry with paper towels. Brush oil on the top. Sprinkle seasonings over the meat.
-
Step 4
Grill the pork tenderloin to at least 140 degrees (rare), basting with 1 cup apple cider and 3 tbsp. brown sugar, combined. Wrap in aluminum foil for 10 minutes and serve. That's how to grill pork tenderloin!
