Step 1
RESEARCH. First you need to do some research and decide which type of Feng Shui you want to study. There are really four different Feng shui schools: Classical Feng Shui, Compass School Feng Shui, Western Feng Shui/BTB (Black Hat Sect Tibetan Buddhist), and Form School Feng Shui. Each school approaches Feng Shui a bit differently.
-
Step 2
Consider specializing in a certain type of Feng Shui such as Feng Shui for the home.GO TO SCHOOL. To obtain Feng Shui certification, you’ll need training from a Feng Shui school. There are several Feng Shui schools across the country offering practitioner certification. Prices for certification range from $300 to $7000, depending upon the length of the program and the quality of the instructors. Before you make an investment in yourself, interview the schools to be sure you’re getting the quality of instruction you want.
-
Step 3
NETWORK. After you obtain Feng Shui certification, you can begin working with clients. Some Feng Shui practitioners work with a single client for up to six months. To develop a system for new client referrals, network with local design associations, landscapers, furniture stores, and holistic health practitioners.
