How to Do an Inside Crescent Kick

Kicks are mainly used in the martial arts techniques and kickboxing, while boxing uses only punches. But kicks can be very potent to throw off your opponent. The inside crescent kick is mainly used in kung fu, and it is not an easy kick, you have to have a great grasp of the basics and a little more before utilizing this kick with out hurting yourself.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    First you have to do a good stretching so that your muscles are not cold while even practicing this type of kick a good 15-20 minutes of stretching is good.

  2. Step 2

    Then position yourself in a guard stance with your left foot forward. Then raise your left hand in front of you and extend your arm, the height of your hand should be head level.

  3. Step 3

    Place your right hand a bit behind you before giving the kick. Then raise your foot and turn your waist to give power and speed to the kick.

  4. Step 4

    Raise your leg as high as possible and make sure not to overextend and kick your left palm. This is the best way to practice an inside crescent kick and to practice a left kick just switch everything so that you are in a left guard stance.
