You will learn how to quickly and easily fix a small crack or chip in your windshield or window. What you learn will help prevent your windshield from cracking further. It's not a long term fix but it will give you a lot more time before your windshield will need replaced.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • paper towels
  • soap and water
  • clear nail polish
  1. Step 1

    Clean windshield with soap and water until all dirt is removed, then dry windshield with paper towels. * Make sure windshield is completely dry before moving to step 2.

  2. Step 2

    Take the clear nail polish and apply a thin layer to crack or chip. Let dry. Make sure nail polish is completely dry before applying next coat. Repeat until windshield is smooth to touch.

  3. Step 3

    After nail polish is completely dry, pour water on the windshield to make sure the crack or chip is water proof. If done right windshield should not leak. If a leak should occur, dry windshield and add another coat of nail polish.

Tips & Warnings
  • Step 2 might take a while.
  • DO NOT use a blow dryer to dry nail polish, it may cause the windshield to crack further.
